Large round figures, Rapid in-out in 24-48 hrs (U-turn), Structuring under £10k, Profile inconsistent, Transfers to FATF grey list jurisdictions2. Customer Behaviour
Reluctant to provide KYC/SOF/SOW, Complex shell structures with no rationale, Evasive answers, Multiple accounts3. Business / Corporate
Mass registration address on Companies House, No real activity/no website/no employees, Grocery store doing £500k international wires, Use of nominees / bearer shares to hide UBO4. SOF / SOW Red Flags
Cannot explain funds/wealth, Wealth from high-corruption country with no legit career, Large cash business with no cash logic5. Sanctions & Adverse Media
OFAC / OFSI / EU / UN match, Adverse media for fraud/drug/tax evasion, PEP with unexplained wealthπ‘ What to do when you see a Red Flag?
Escalate → Document rationale → Send RFI
If suspicion remains → File SAR to NCA (UK) / FIU-IND (India)
